LL.M. Programme an der Deakin University
Bachelor, Master, PhD oder Auslandssemester: 5 Fakultäten bieten an der Deakin University interessante Studiengänge in den Bereichen Geisteswissenschaften, Sozial- und Gesellschaftswissenschaften, Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Jura, Erziehungswissenschaften, Gesundheitswissenchaften, Naturwissenschaften sowie Ingenieurwesen und IT an.
Insbesondere Sozialwissenchaftler und Biomediziner sollten sich die Uni einmal näher anschauen: Laut dem Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2009 gehören die Studienbereiche Sozialwissenchaften sowie die Lebenswissenschaften (Biomedizin) an der Deakin University zu den besten Top 15 bzw. Top 20 in Australien.
Für eine Kombination aus Praktikum und Auslandsstudium können sich Studenten ab dem dritten Studienjahr an der Deakin University bewerben. Während des Semesters verbringen die Studenten ein Viertel ihrer Zeit in einem Unternehmen und den Rest der Zeit an der Universität. Das Angebot gilt für die Studienbereiche Wirtschaft, Politik, Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Journalismus, Medien und Kommunikation, Umweltwissenschaften, Darstellende Kunst (Tanz und Schauspiel), Grafikdesign, Medienkunst (Film und Fotografie), Bildende Kunst, Sozialarbeit und Soziologie.

In Melbourne befinden sich zwei Campusanlagen der Deakin University und drei weitere Campi sind in den Küstenstädten Geelong (waterfront und Waurn Ponds) und Warrnambool gelegen. Der Melbourne Campus at Burwood liegt am zentralsten, in knapp 45 Minuten ist man mit der U-Bahn in der City. Melbourne ist ein wichtiges kulturelles Zentrum und bei Studenten aus alles Welt sehr beliebt. Viele Museen und Märkte, Restaurants und Cafés, sowie die Lage am Meer prägen das Stadtbild. Auch Konzertliebhaber und Sportfans kommen in Melbourne auf ihre Kosten.
