Krankenversicherung
Alle Studierenden müssen während des gesamten Studienaufenthalts krankenversichert sein. Das Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) deckt hier die Krankenversicherung für internationale Studierende ab und ist eine Voraussetzung für das Studentenvisum. Studierende des RMIT werden mit dem OSHC der Medibank Private versichert. Studierende bezahlen die OSHC Gebühr zusammen mit ihren Studiengebühren - die Universität arrangiert dann die Versicherung. Sollte Studierende sich bei einem anderen OSHC Anbieter versichern wollen, so müssen sie einen Beweis über die Versicherung bei der Universität vorweisen, um die für den Visaantrag benötigten Unterlagen vorzuweisen. Eine Auslandskrankenversicherung kann in keinem Fall vom OSHC befreien. OSHC kostet pro Monat 43 AUD, pro Semester ca. 300 AUD.
