IEC Team

A team of 10 full time and part time employed student advisors and asistants is taking care of your and the students needs. The IEC Team is based in the Berlin office at Marienstrasse 19/20 in 10117 Berlin-City Center, 5 minutes walk from Friedrichstrasse station.

Hilka Leicht, MBA, MA

Master of Business Administration Entrepreneurship (MBA) at the Institute of Management, Berlin (HRW Berlin).Master of Arts in Russian and Eastern European Politics (Free University of Berlin and Humboldt University of Berlin). Graduate Diploma in German as a Foreign Language (University of Potsdam). Lived in Russia for three years. Assistant lecturer at the State University of St Petersburg for DAAD. Work experience in language training and selling language courses. Languages: German, English, Russian.

IEC - International Education for Global Minds: Started the IEC operation in Germany in July 2001. Visits to universities in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, USA, Canada, Great Britain, Italy, Spain. Memberships: EAIE, NAFSA.

Berlin International College: Since 2012 also Vice-President Marketing & Recruitment at Berlin International College (BIC), which offers pathway programs to international students in Germany.

With IEC since September 2011. Advisory trips within Germany, campus visits to University of Chicago, USA, Macquarie University and The University of Newcastle, Australia.

Sonja Huss

Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies and Spanish Philology with the additional qualification "German as a Foreign Language" (University of Potsdam). Professional training as a “Foreign Language Correspondent" High School Year in Port Angeles, Washington State, USA. Study abroad semester at the Universidad de Murcia, Spain as well as two other extended stays in Spain and Central America.
